How to maintain the accuracy of an automatic slitting machine?

1. Regular Calibration and Adjustment
Tool System Calibration: Check blade wear every shift and measure radial runout with a micrometer (must be ≤0.003mm). Blades with excessive wear should be replaced promptly.
Tension Control Optimization: Use a PID algorithm to adjust the unwinding/rewinding tension, maintaining a fluctuation of ≤±0.5N to prevent material stretching and deformation.
Web Guide System Debugging: Use CCD vision or infrared sensors to calibrate the material edge, with a web guide accuracy of ±0.1mm.
2. Key Component Maintenance
Lubrication Management: Lubricate transmission components such as the lead screw and gears daily, and check chain tension biweekly.
Tool Maintenance: Check the cutting edge of tungsten carbide blades every 50km of cutting, and store ceramic blades to prevent collisions.
Cleaning and Protection: Remove foreign matter from the tool holder and guide pins during downtime. Electroplated parts should be oil-sealed to prevent rust. 3. Intelligent Monitoring and Preventive Maintenance
Digital Twin Technology: Preview the cutting process through 3D simulation, optimize parameters in advance, and predict tool life.
Vibration Analysis: Monitor tool vibration decay time, and abnormal vibration requires immediate machine shutdown and inspection.
Data Feedback: Leverage the IIoT system to record historical process data and automatically recommend optimal cutting parameters.
4. Operating Standards and Training
Standardized Operations: Check the air and electrical circuits before starting the machine, and conduct a trial run to confirm normal equipment operation.
Personnel Training: Operators must master core skills such as tension adjustment and EPC correction to avoid operational errors.
5. Environmental and External Force Control
Vibration Control: The equipment foundation must be stable, and vibration damping devices should be installed if necessary.
Temperature and Humidity Management: Maintain a constant temperature (e.g., 20 ± 2°C) to minimize the impact of thermal deformation on precision.
