1. Incomplete or Uneven Cutting
Check Blade Condition: Observe for wear, nicks, or tilted installation. Replace blades promptly when the cutting edge becomes dull. Ensure the blade is installed vertically, with the gap between the blade and the bottom roller allowing an A4 sheet of paper to pass through smoothly without being cut.
Troubleshoot Bottom Roller Issues: Scratches, adhesive residue, or bearing runout on the bottom roller surface can cause unstable shearing. Clean or grind the bottom roller, and replace it if necessary.
Verify Blade Selection: Different materials require corresponding blade types. For example, use a wide-angle blade for thick wax-based ribbons, and a sharper blade for resin-based ribbons.
2. Uneven Rewinding, Wrinkling, or "Flaking"
Adjust Tension System: Check for wear on the unwind brake pads, slippage on the rewind friction pads, and whether the air pressure is stable (recommended 0.4–0.6 MPa).
Activate Pressure Rollers: Use both the winding and take-up pressure rollers during the winding and take-up processes to prevent loosening and misalignment.
Replace Paper Core: Ensure the inner diameter of the paper core meets equipment requirements to avoid uneven winding due to mismatch.
3. Inaccurate Metering:
Calibrate the Counting Wheels: Ensure both wheels are in contact with the feed roller simultaneously and mark them for manual calibration (e.g., 5 rotations = 1 meter).
Replace Damaged Parts: If adjustment is ineffective, the counting wheel may be worn out or the sensor may be faulty; replacement is necessary.
4. Material Misalignment or Entanglement:
Check Guide Rollers and Correction System: Clean dust from the guide rollers and confirm the automatic correction device (EPC) is functioning correctly.
Check Parallelism: Misalignment between the cutter head and the bottom roller axis can cause incomplete cutting in certain areas. Use a feeler gauge to check the gap at both ends and adjust the screws.
5. Unstable Tension:
Mechanical Inspection: Check for jammed floating rollers, loose belts, and damaged bearings.
Electrical Troubleshooting: Check for signal fluctuations in the tension sensor and ensure the inverter's PID parameters are reasonable (try decreasing the P value and increasing the I value).
Pneumatic Circuit Testing: If pneumatic control is used, check for leaks in the cylinder connectors with soapy water and ensure the pressure regulating valve is sensitive.
6. Machine Noise or Vibration
Fastening Components: Check for loose screws and connectors.
Replacing Transmission Components: Aging of the timing belt or wear on the bearings are the main causes. After stopping the machine, manually rotate the rotor to check for any jamming.
Quick Troubleshooting Process (Suggested Order):
Visual Inspection: Check for damage to the blades, bottom roller, and guide rollers.
Handsight Test: Manually rotate the rotor to check for even contact.
Parameter Verification: Check if the tension, blade pressure, and speed settings are within the process range.
No-Load Operation: Raise the blade holder and listen for abnormal noises from the bearings and transmission.
Replacement Comparison: Try cutting with a new blade to rule out blade-related issues.
