What are the steps for upgrading and renovating a slitting machine?

1) First, conduct a feasibility analysis of the renovation project and determine the plan. According to the actual use of the slitting equipment, comprehensively judge the mechanical wear and aging of electrical components to decide whether to upgrade the existing system or replace the new electrical system and mechanical components. The renovation plan must consider meeting the use needs for a long time in the future. The software design reserves as many parameter options as possible so that operators can flexibly adjust the parameters to adapt to the slitting needs of different materials. For the selection of component brands and precision, it is necessary to seek a balance in performance, practicality, reliability and economy.
The plan should try to abandon flashy functions, adapt to the development status of slitting machine manufacturers, and transform the slitting machine into a customized special equipment based on the diversity of slitting materials.
2) Preparation work before the slitting machine renovation. Complete the mapping, design, processing and production of mechanical parts. The design of the new electrical system and the new and old conversion interface, including the interface design of the operation panel and the human-computer interactive touch screen, requires comprehensive consideration of parameter measurement, digital-to-analog conversion, performance matching and maintenance convenience. Reasonably arrange the procurement of components and implement them to the responsible person to avoid suppliers delaying the renovation cycle due to delayed delivery.
The workpieces processed by outsourcing should be inspected piece by piece in accordance with the tolerance of the drawings to prevent rework or scrapping during the installation process, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Before assembly, the debugging specifications and inspection standards of the electrical system should be formulated as the basis for the debugging and acceptance of the electrical system.
3) Upgrade and transform the old slitting equipment. First, the electrical parts retained at the customer's site should be debugged to ensure that they are in the best working condition.
Then dismantle the system to be replaced according to the drawings, pay attention to marking the interfaces and connection points of the new and old conversions, and do not miss or over-dismantle.
Strictly arrange the wiring and installation of the new operating system in accordance with the circuit schematic diagram. The thickness and specifications of the wire diameter meet the process requirements. The fixed position of the box should consider the direction of the line and appropriately relax the margin.
4) Before debugging the slitting machine, the motor, proximity switch and other components can be pre-tested without load, and the loading debugging can be carried out after the action meets the requirements.
The debugging personnel should keep good process records and make timely corrections to the problems that arise until the slitting equipment operates normally and the control function and accuracy reach the expected transformation goals, and retain the transformation effect through quantitative data to provide a reference for further upgrades in the future.
