What safety checks are required before operating the slitting machine?

1. Equipment appearance inspection
Check the overall appearance of the equipment: Make sure that the equipment has no obvious damage, deformation or loose parts.
Check the protective device: Make sure that all protective devices (such as protective covers, guardrails) are firmly installed, without damage or missing.
Check the emergency stop button: Make sure that the emergency stop button functions properly and can quickly stop the equipment from running.
2. Electrical system inspection
Check the power connection: Make sure that the power connection is correct, the grounding is good, and there are no loose or damaged wires.
Check the control panel: Make sure that the indicators, switches and buttons on the control panel function properly and are not damaged.
Check the motor and electrical components: Make sure that the motor has no abnormal noise or overheating, and the electrical components have no signs of burning or damage.
3. Mechanical component inspection
Check the knives and blades: Make sure that the knives and blades are firmly installed, without damage or wear, and the cutting edges are sharp.
Check the roller core and bearings: Make sure that the roller core and bearings are not loose, worn or have abnormal noise, and operate smoothly.
Check the transmission system: make sure that the transmission belt, chain and gear are not loose, worn or damaged, and the tension is appropriate.
4. Lubrication and cooling system inspection
Check the lubrication system: make sure that the lubrication system is working properly, there is sufficient lubricant at the lubrication points, and there is no leakage.
Check the cooling system: make sure that the cooling system is working properly, there is sufficient coolant, and there is no leakage or blockage.
5. Work area inspection
Clean up the work area: make sure there are no debris, tools or other obstacles around the equipment, and keep the work area clean.
Check the ground: make sure the ground is dry, free of oil or sliding materials to avoid slipping accidents.
Check the emergency passage: make sure the emergency passage is unobstructed to facilitate rapid evacuation in an emergency.
6. Personal protective equipment inspection
Wear safety equipment: Operators must wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety glasses, non-slip shoes, cut-resistant gloves, etc.
Check safety equipment: make sure all safety equipment is intact and functioning properly.
7. Equipment trial run
Low-speed trial run: Before formal operation, conduct a low-speed trial run to check whether the various parts of the equipment are operating normally and whether there is any abnormal noise or vibration.
Check safety devices: Ensure that all safety devices work normally during the trial run, such as emergency stop buttons, protective devices, etc.
8. Operating environment inspection
Check the ventilation system: Ensure that the working area is well ventilated to avoid dust and harmful gases from accumulating.
