Types of Common Lubrication System Faults
1. Lubrication Device Not Spraying Oil
This is one of the common faults in aluminum cutting machines. Micro-lubrication devices may stop spraying oil after prolonged use. Possible causes include blockage of the oil inlet and nozzle by debris, or electrical circuit malfunctions.
2. Lubrication System Oil Leakage
The centralized lubrication system of equipment such as aluminum foil rolling mills may experience oil leakage problems, usually related to damaged or improperly installed seals (such as oil seals).
3. Abnormal Lubrication System Oil Pressure
Low oil pressure: May be caused by insufficient oil, poor oil pump performance, clogged filter, or system leakage.
High oil pressure: May be caused by excessively high oil viscosity, clogged oil passages, or improper adjustment of the pressure limiting valve.
4. Poor Lubrication System Cleaning
If the lubrication system is not cleaned regularly, it may lead to clogged oil passages or contamination of the oil with impurities, affecting the lubrication effect.
Fault Diagnosis and Treatment Suggestions
Lubrication device not spraying oil: Check if the oil inlet and nozzle are blocked, and troubleshoot electrical circuit faults.
Oil leakage problem: Check if the seals (such as oil seals) are damaged; replace or reinstall them if necessary.
Abnormal oil pressure:
For low oil pressure, check the oil level, oil pump, and filter status.
For high oil pressure, check the oil viscosity, oil passage patency, and pressure limiting valve function.
Regular maintenance: Clean the lubrication system according to schedule, replace damaged lubrication components, and avoid oil passage blockage.
Importance of Preventive Maintenance
Regularly checking the working status of the lubrication system, ensuring sufficient oil quantity and clean oil quality, is key to preventing failures. For complex equipment, it is recommended to establish a "five-point" lubrication standard (fixed point, fixed quality, fixed quantity, fixed time, and fixed personnel).
