How to Regularly Clean the Lubrication System of an Aluminum Foil Cutting Machine?

Cleaning Cycle and Preparation
Cleaning Cycle: It is recommended to clean the lubrication system every 50,000 kilometers or every two years to remove sludge, carbon deposits, and other impurities. For high-load or harsh environments, the cycle should be shortened.
Preparation:
Park the equipment on a flat surface, preheat it, and then turn off the engine (if applicable).
Open the engine cover and oil filler cap, lift the equipment, and place a waste oil collection container underneath.
Check that all components of the lubrication system (such as the oil pump and filter) are functioning correctly and that the oil passages are unobstructed.
Cleaning Steps
1. Draining the Old Oil:
Rotate the drain plug counterclockwise to drain the old oil, replace the washer, and tighten it (tightening torque 15-20 N·m).
For complex systems (such as steam turbines), manually remove rust-proof oil, welding slag, and other residues.
2. Simple Flushing:
Inject new engine oil to 60%-70% of the standard capacity, run at idle speed for 2-3 minutes, and then drain.
Use a special cleaning agent to dissolve the oil sludge, and circulate the cleaning agent for 4-96 hours (depending on the size of the equipment).
3. Deep Cleaning:
Use a lubrication system cleaning machine, connect it to the oil pan through a special connector, and thoroughly remove tiny particles (such as tar and metal shavings).
Heat the flushing oil to 50-80℃ to enhance the cleaning effect.
4. System Purification:
Install a filter or centrifuge to purify the flushing oil and prevent impurities from flowing back.
After cleaning, drain all the oil from the low-lying areas and clean the impurities in the oil tank.
Maintenance and Recording
Lubricant Selection: Select a special guide rail lubricating oil or grease according to the equipment manual, ensuring even application.
Inspection and Adjustment: After cleaning, check the straightness of the guide rails and lead screws, and adjust any deviations promptly.
Establish Records: Keep detailed records of each cleaning time, materials used, and equipment status to facilitate problem tracking.
Precautions
Avoid dust and impurities from entering the lubrication system. Clean the lubricated parts before adding new oil. If the equipment has a built-in lubrication system, the oil level in the oil reservoir should be checked regularly to ensure smooth lubrication and cooling.
