How to deal with common unwinding part failures of automatic slitting machines?

1. Adjust the tension
If the deviation is caused by uneven unwinding tension, it can be solved by adjusting the unwinding tension control system. For example, for the tension system controlled by the magnetic powder brake, the current of the magnetic powder brake can be fine-tuned to change the braking force, so that the tension of the coil is uniform. Usually, you can try to increase a certain tension in the opposite direction of the deviation (the adjustment range should not be too large each time, and you can adjust 5% - 10% first), observe the operation of the coil, and gradually adjust to the appropriate tension.
2. Adjust the guide roller
Check whether the position of the guide roller is correct. If the angle or position of the guide roller is offset, it will cause the coil to deviate. The angle of the guide roller can be fine-tuned according to the deviation direction of the coil. Generally, when the coil deviates to the left, the left end of the guide roller can be adjusted slightly forward; otherwise, the right end can be adjusted slightly forward. Observe the operation of the coil after each adjustment, and make multiple fine adjustments until the coil runs stably.
3. Check the quality of the coil
If it is a quality problem of the coil itself (such as the coil core is not round), you can try to replace the coil, or rewind the coil to keep its core as round as possible. When rewinding, you can use special winding equipment and pay attention to adjusting the winding tension and speed.

4. Check the brake system
When the unwinding brake system fails and causes the coil to slip, first check whether the various components of the brake system, such as the brake pads and brake drums, are worn or damaged. If the brake pads are severely worn, you need to replace them with new ones; if the surface of the brake drum is not smooth, you can grind it. At the same time, check whether the air pressure or hydraulic pressure of the brake system is normal (for air pressure or hydraulic brake systems) to ensure that the brake system can provide sufficient braking force.
5. Increase friction
If the friction between the coil and the unwinding shaft is too small, you can take measures to increase the friction. For example, you can wrap a layer of anti-skid material, such as rubber belt, sandpaper, etc., around the unwinding shaft; or apply a layer of anti-skid agent (such as special anti-skid glue) on the inner surface of the coil core to increase the friction between the coil and the unwinding shaft.
