What are the common faults of the automatic slitting machine when in use?

Faults in the unwinding part

1. Coil deviation

Reason: It may be uneven unwinding tension, improper adjustment of the guide roller, or quality problems of the coil itself (such as the coil core is not round).

Performance: The coil deviates from the normal running track during transportation, resulting in inaccurate slitting size.

2. Coil slipping

Reason: The unwinding brake system fails and cannot provide sufficient braking force; or the friction between the coil and the unwinding shaft is too small.

Performance: The coil cannot be stably unwound at the set speed, affecting the continuity of slitting.

Faults in the slitting part

1. Tool wear

Reason: The tool is worn due to long-term use or high hardness of the slitting material.

Performance: The edges of the slitting materials are uneven, with burrs or serrations; the slitting size accuracy is reduced.

2. Tool chipping

Reason: Tool quality problems, encountering hard objects (such as impurities in the material) during slitting, or improper tool installation.

Performance: The blade of the tool has gaps or breaks, which seriously affects the slitting effect and may even damage the material.
3. Slitting size deviation
Reason: Inaccurate adjustment of the cutter spacing, failure of the equipment transmission system resulting in unstable relative movement between the cutter and the material, or incorrect setting of the control system parameters.
Performance: The size of the material after slitting is inconsistent with the set size, exceeding the allowable error range.
Failure of the winding part
1. Untidy winding
Reason: Unstable winding tension, mismatch between winding speed and slitting speed, or poor parallelism of the winding shaft.
Performance: The slitting material cannot be neatly wound on the reel during the winding process, resulting in wrinkles, looseness or one-sided tightness.
2. Too large or too small winding tension
Reason: Failure of the tension control system or improper setting of the tension parameters.
Performance: When the tension is too large, the material may be stretched and deformed; when the tension is too small, the material is prone to looseness during the winding process, affecting the product quality.
Electrical system failure
1. The equipment cannot start
Reason: Power failure, control circuit failure (such as fuse blown, contactor damage, etc.) or motor failure.
Performance: After pressing the start button, the equipment does not respond and cannot operate normally.
2. Sudden shutdown during operation
Reason: It may be due to overheat protection of electrical components, overload protection device operation, or short circuit, open circuit and other faults in electrical circuits.
Performance: The equipment suddenly stops working during operation, and the display may display the corresponding fault alarm information.
