How to determine if the motor of an aluminum foil cutting machine is faulty.

I. Observing Operating Status to Determine Fault

Failure to Start: After connecting the power and pressing the start button, the motor does not respond at all. After ruling out power supply issues, the motor is faulty.

Abnormal Operation: Severe shaking, metallic friction noise, and unstable speed after starting indicate a damaged component in the motor.

II. Checking Heat and Odor: After running for a period of time, touching the motor casing reveals an abnormally hot temperature (above 70°C) or a burnt insulating odor, indicating a short circuit and burnt-out motor windings, thus confirming a fault.

III. Simple Electrical Testing: Measuring the motor's input voltage with a multimeter; if the voltage is normal but the motor does not turn; or measuring the winding resistance, a three-phase resistance deviation exceeding 5% or infinite resistance indicates an open/short circuit in the windings, confirming a motor fault.
