What are the common causes of motor failure in aluminum foil cutting machines?

I. External Environment and Power Supply Issues

1. Power Supply Abnormalities: Voltage fluctuations exceeding ±10%, phase loss, and loose wiring can cause the motor to overheat and burn out or fail to start.

2. Environmental Factors: Long-term high humidity and accumulation of aluminum dust can lead to decreased insulation and poor heat dissipation, resulting in short circuits and burnout of the windings.

II. Mechanical Load Issues

1. Long-Term Overload Operation: Processing thicknesses exceeding the equipment's rated range causes the motor to operate under overload for extended periods, accelerating the aging and damage of the winding insulation.

2. Transmission Jamming: Seized bearings, aluminum dust jamming the drive shaft, and belt jamming can cause the motor to stall, burning out the windings within a short time.

III. Motor Aging Issues

1. Bearing Aging and Wear: Long-term use without regular grease replacement leads to excessive bearing wear clearance, causing abnormal noise and vibration, eventually resulting in motor seizure and burnout.

2. Winding Aging: With prolonged equipment use, the winding insulation naturally ages and cracks, causing short circuits and open circuits.

Ⅳ . Inadequate maintenance: Failure to clean aluminum shavings and dust from the motor surface over a long period of time can block heat dissipation channels, leading to overheating of the motor, accelerated insulation aging, and ultimately, malfunctions.
