1. Check alarm codes: Prioritize reading fault codes on the control panel (e.g., code 7011 indicates a cutter positioning error; code 32 indicates a conveyor motor fault) to immediately pinpoint the primary area for troubleshooting.
2. Quick visual inspection: Check if the emergency stop button is reset, verify that air pressure meets specifications (4–5 kg/cm²), inspect guide roller surfaces for aluminum chip buildup, and check for loose electrical connections.
II. Targeted Sub-system Troubleshooting
1. Cutting system: Check blade sharpness and installation angle (87–90°); test the continuity of the cutter's Hall sensor signal and adjust the gap between the sensor and the cutter disk to 3–5 mm.
2. Power transmission system: Use a multimeter to measure motor winding resistance; verify variable frequency drive (VFD) output parameters; check gearbox lubrication; and ensure the conveyor belt is tracking correctly (not drifting).
3. Tension and web guiding systems: Check for signal drift in tension sensors; verify that taper tension settings match process specifications; and test the response speed of photoelectric or ultrasonic web guiding systems.
4. Winding mechanism: Use a dial indicator to ensure winding shaft runout is ≤0.05 mm; use a feeler gauge to verify pressure roller parallelism (≤0.05 mm); and inspect the winding shaft for wear or deformation.
III. No-load Verification
After completing individual checks, perform a low-speed, no-load test run; monitor for abnormal noises and ensure tension fluctuations remain within ±5%; once the fault is confirmed resolved, conduct a small-batch trial run to verify slitting quality.
