I. Preparation
1. Check the equipment
Check whether the parts of the slitting machine are intact and whether the cutter is sharp and firmly installed. Check whether the cutting edge of the cutter is flat and has no gaps. If the cutting edge is worn more than 0.2-0.3 mm, the cutter needs to be replaced.
Check the unwinding and rewinding devices to ensure that the reels can rotate normally and the transmission parts such as belts and chains are not loose or damaged.
2. Prepare materials
Select suitable raw materials according to the slitting requirements and ensure that the specifications of the materials (such as width, thickness, material, etc.) meet the processing range of the slitting machine. For example, for a slitting machine with a maximum processing width of 1000 mm, do not use materials with a width exceeding this value.
Place the raw materials on the unwinding device to ensure that the material core matches the unwinding shaft and the material can be unwound smoothly.
II. Equipment debugging
1. Parameter setting
Set the slitting width, slitting speed, rewinding tension and other parameters on the control panel according to the characteristics of the material and the slitting requirements. For example, for a plastic film with a thickness of 0.5 mm, the slitting speed can generally be set at 50-100 m/min; for thicker paper, the speed may need to be reduced to 30-50 m/min.
Adjust the cutter spacing to ensure accurate slitting dimensions. The cutter spacing can be measured using a measuring tool (such as a vernier caliper), and the error should be controlled within the range of ±0.1-0.2 mm.
2. Trial run
Start the slitting machine for a trial run to observe whether the equipment is running smoothly, whether the cutter cuts the material normally, and whether the roll is neat. Check whether the slitting edge of the material is smooth and whether there are burrs or tears. If problems are found, adjust the parameters or check the equipment components in time.
III. Formal production
1. Start the equipment
After confirming that there are no problems with the trial run, officially start the slitting machine for production. During the production process, pay close attention to the operating status of the equipment, including whether the current and voltage of the motor are stable, whether the temperature of the cutter is too high (generally the temperature of the cutter should not exceed 80-90℃), and the slitting quality of the material.
Pay attention to the winding situation to ensure that the winding tension is uniform and the material is wound neatly. If there are problems such as wrinkles and looseness in the winding, the winding tension can be adjusted appropriately or the winding method can be changed.
2. Quality inspection
Periodically check the quality of the slit materials, including dimensional accuracy, edge quality, material flatness, etc. For example, take a section of slit material every 10-15 minutes for measurement and inspection.
According to the quality inspection results, adjust the equipment parameters or perform equipment maintenance in time to ensure the stability of product quality.
IV. Equipment shutdown
1. Normal shutdown
When the production task is completed or production needs to be suspended, stop unwinding first, let the equipment continue to run until all the materials pass through the slitting area, and then stop the slitting and winding devices in turn.
Turn off the power of the equipment, and clean and maintain the equipment, such as cleaning the residual material on the tool, checking the wear of equipment components, etc.
