1. Before operation
1. Equipment inspection
Check the various parts of the slitting machine, including whether the cutter is firmly installed, whether there is wear, gaps or looseness. If the cutter is severely worn (the radius of the cutter edge is greater than 0.5 mm), it should be replaced in time.
Check whether the mechanical structure of the unwinding and rewinding device is normal, such as whether the reel can rotate normally, and whether the transmission chain or belt has signs of looseness or breakage.
2. Personnel training
Ensure that the operator has received professional training and is familiar with the operating procedures of the slitting machine, the functions of the control panel, and the location of the emergency stop button. The operator should understand the slitting parameter settings for different materials to avoid accidents caused by improper operation.
2. During operation
1. Protective devices
Ensure that all protective devices (such as tool guards, safety gratings, etc.) are correctly installed and in effective condition. The protective device cannot have damaged or missing parts, for example, the protective area of the protective cover should cover more than 80% of the tool movement area.
It is strictly forbidden to operate the slitting machine when the protective device is not installed or fails.
2. Material handling
When loading materials onto the unwinding device, ensure that the weight and size of the materials are within the load range of the equipment. For example, for an unwinding device designed to carry 500 kg, do not load materials that exceed this weight.
Avoid adjusting the position of the material or handling the edge of the material during the operation of the equipment to prevent your hands from being caught.
3. Emergency handling
Operators should always be vigilant and immediately press the emergency stop button if they find any abnormality in the equipment (such as abnormal noise, odor, severe vibration, etc.). The emergency stop button should be able to completely stop the equipment within 1 second.
During the operation of the equipment, if material blockage or entanglement occurs, the machine should be stopped before handling it. Do not reach out to pull the material while the equipment is running.
III. After operation
1. Equipment cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning the equipment, be sure to cut off the power supply to prevent electric shock accidents. Use special tools and cleaning agents to clean the knives and other parts, and avoid using sharp or rough tools to scratch the surface of the equipment.
When performing equipment maintenance, such as replacing knives and adjusting mechanical structures, the operating procedures in the equipment maintenance manual should be followed to ensure the safety of operators.
