1. Daily maintenance
Cleaning work
After each use, clean the dust, debris and residual materials on the outer shell, cutter, unwinding and rewinding devices of the slitting machine in time. For sticky residues on the cutter, you can use a special cutter cleaner to clean it.
Periodically (such as weekly) thoroughly clean the equipment, including the transmission parts inside the equipment, such as chains, belts, gears, etc., which can be cleaned with a brush and cleaning oil to remove oil and impurities.
Check the operating status of the equipment
Before starting the machine every day, check whether the connections of various parts of the equipment are loose, such as the connection between the cutter and the cutter seat, the connection of the transmission parts, etc. If the screws are found to be loose (you can judge by manually checking whether the screws can be turned), they should be tightened in time.
Check whether the wires of the electrical system are damaged or aged. If the outer skin of the wire is cracked or damaged by more than 1 mm, the wires should be replaced in time.
2. Regular maintenance
Tool maintenance
Grind or replace the tool regularly (generally every 1000-2000 meters of material or according to tool wear) according to the use of the tool. When sharpening the tool, use professional sharpening equipment to ensure the cutting edge angle and sharpness of the tool.
Check the installation accuracy of the tool and use a measuring tool (such as a micrometer) to measure the runout of the tool. If the runout exceeds 0.05-0.1 mm, the installation position of the tool should be adjusted.
Mechanical component maintenance
Lubricate and maintain the transmission components regularly (such as every 1000 hours of operation). For chains, chain-specific lubricants can be used; for gears, gear oil can be used for lubrication. Pay attention to the appropriate amount of lubrication to avoid excessive lubricating oil causing oil splashing.
Check the wear of the reel, bearings and other parts of the unwinding and rewinding devices. If the bearing is found to be inflexible (there is obvious resistance when turning the bearing manually) or there is abnormal noise, the bearing should be replaced in time.
Electrical system maintenance
Inspect and maintain the electrical control system regularly (e.g. every 3-6 months). Check whether the electrical components (such as contactors, relays, etc.) are working properly, and use a multimeter to measure whether their voltage, current and other parameters are within the normal range.
Clean the electrical system and use dry compressed air to blow away the dust on the electrical components to prevent dust accumulation and electrical failure.
3. Long-term shutdown maintenance
Equipment sealing
If the slitting machine needs to be shut down for a long time (more than 1 month), the equipment should be sealed. First, clean the equipment thoroughly, and then apply anti-rust oil on the surface of the metal parts, such as evenly apply anti-rust oil on the knives, reels and other parts to prevent rust.
Wrap the equipment with waterproof and dustproof materials (such as plastic film) and store it in a dry and well-ventilated environment.
