1. Operation
Material handling
When loading, ensure that the material reel is closely matched with the unwinding reel of the slitting machine to avoid shaking of the material during unwinding, thereby reducing uneven wear on the equipment.
For materials of different materials, it is necessary to understand their characteristics in advance. For example, for plastic films that are prone to static electricity, static elimination measures can be taken to prevent static electricity from adsorbing dust onto the equipment and affecting the operation of the equipment.
Avoid overload operation
Operate strictly in accordance with the equipment's rated power, maximum slitting thickness and width and other parameters. Do not force slitting of materials that exceed the equipment's capacity in pursuit of efficiency. For example, if the equipment specifies a maximum slitting thickness of 5 mm, materials with a thickness exceeding this value should not be slid.
2. Maintenance
Tool maintenance details
Before installing the tool, carefully check whether the blade has slight notches or flaws. Even a small notch of about 0.1 mm may expand during use.
When sharpening the tool, the accuracy of the sharpening angle must be ensured. Usually, different types of tools have recommended sharpening angle ranges. For example, straight knives are generally between 20 and 30 degrees, and the sharpening angle deviation cannot exceed ±2 degrees.
Transmission component maintenance
When lubricating the chain, ensure that the lubricant penetrates evenly into each joint of the chain, rather than just staying on the surface. For gears, in addition to applying lubricant on the tooth surface, attention should also be paid to the lubrication of the connection between the gear shaft and the bearing.
When checking the wear of transmission parts, in addition to paying attention to the overall wear degree, attention should also be paid to local wear. For example, the wear of individual teeth of the gear may cause instability of the entire transmission system.
3. Environmental aspects
Temperature and humidity
The slitting machine should try to avoid operating in an environment with too high temperature (over 40℃) or too low temperature (below 0℃), because extreme temperature will affect the mechanical and electrical properties of the equipment.
Keep the relative humidity of the environment between 40% and 60%. Too high humidity (over 80%) can easily cause the equipment to rust, and too low humidity (below 30%) may cause static electricity accumulation.
Clean environment
The environment around the equipment should be kept clean to avoid the accumulation of debris. During the operation of the equipment, foreign objects such as metal chips and paper scraps should be prevented from entering the equipment, because these foreign objects may get stuck between the cutter or transmission parts, causing damage to the equipment.
